Finances Replacing the wooden windows Our sincere thanks go to Martin Palmer and John Goodman for the production of the drawings required for planning permission, and also to our anonymous donor for the funds. |
The £7,666 for these came from fundraising income and they take up much less space (and are more comfortable!) than the plastic chairs we had previously. We also wish to replace the tables as some of these are damaged and becoming unstable, however, we do not currently have the funds for this (about £4,500). |

Again this has been a slow process but progress is being made. Plans have been finalised, tenders sought and we are now applying for grants to cover the huge cost of the project (over £60,000!). Many of the grant bodies prefer it if applicants have found some funding from other sources, so if you would like to make a donation, however small (or large!), to this cause then please contact our treasurer, Jeanette Odds on 510850. The plans involve a complete re-organisation of the toilets to include a separate toilet for wheelchair users and new male and female facilities. The design of the new facilities also caters for perambulatory and visually disabled users, and includes many environmentally friendly features. |
This has been moved to the northeast wall so that it no longer opens into the car park where people were constantly parking in front of it compromising safety. |

The following events were held during 2006: Car Boot Sales at MK Eventing Centre in April and Sept - our first car boot sale proved to be a huge success raising £833, the second a slightly disappointing £535 due to problems with our advertising in the Citizen. Our Pink and Black Nite at Woad Farm had a disappointing turn out and only made £356. We will be organising a different summer event at the hall this year - see Future Events. We are very grateful to Nigel for letting us use Woad Farm for these events and may return there in the future. Our Grand Draw, which was drawn at the Pink and Black Nite raised a whopping £1,015. We are extremely grateful to all the local businesses who donated prizes to us, and will be giving them the year off in 2007. Our third Wine Tasting evening in conjunction with Hanslope Wines and Hanslope Entertainments Group was as popular as ever and raised £561. Our stall at the Hansiope Street Fayre in September proved very popular and raised £308. After paying for moving
the small hall fire exit and the new chairs we have spent all the funds
brought forward from 2005 and all the money raised at the above events
and have no fundraising monies left! |

the hall running for the village. We always need additional help - do

of the following: If you think you (or anyone you know) can
help with these tasks (or can do anything else which you think might
be useful to the village hall) then please join our volunteers list
- see our contact details. |
