The Parish Plan process
is a means by which the whole community can voice their opinions on
what actions they wish to see taken in their local area in the future.
When the plan is completed it may highlight actions that can be taken
by community members, be used to influence councils and service providers,
and act as justification of need when applying for funding. |
The Recreation Ground Sports
Club Committee meets on a bi-monthly basis and is responsible for maintaining
and improving the facilities at the recreation ground. New 5-a-side
goal posts, improvements to the changing rooms and installation of Basketball
hoops have all been achieved in the last year. |

It has been suggested that the Parish of Hanslope undertakes the production of a Parish Plan. It is important that it encompasses everything that goes on in the Parish and that anyone associated with the Parish who wants to be is included - the more people who are involved the better. The driving force must come from as wide a spectrum as possible and it is important that everyone realises that it will be for the common good of the Parish. There may well be financial advantages to groups in the Parish as a result and there will be help (financial and otherwise) from Bucks Community Action. Of course it will not happen overnight (it is expected to take up to 18 months). The idea will be expanded at the Open Meeting when it is hoped to have a representative from Milton Keynes Council in attendance. Please come along to hear more and to help arrange a specific meeting to move this matter forward. |
Vandals strike again; this time they wrecked part of the fence along Castlethorpe Road near the pedestrian entrance causing a safety problem as well as an unnecessary cost to the local residents. There are several litter bins in the recreation ground but some people seem unable to use them and throw their rubbish on the ground. Please help to keep the recreation ground clean and tidy; PLEASE USE THE LITTER AND DOG FOULING BINS THAT ARE PROVIDED |

Initial reports are that the new service has settled down well and that the drivers are very helpful.
